About the event
This workshop will open the multiple gifts that are received through grieving, which is also called our last act of love. Peace will permeate our core when we are able to write through the landscape of fear, sorrow or difficulty toward the new horizon of self-discovery, clarity, purpose, and inspiration. Well known poets such as Jane Hirshfield, David Whyte and Lucille Clifton, and newer voices, such as Andrea Gibson will also be used to prompt our curiosity, so that writing can be our healing salve.
Grief is often seen as a thief- something that robs us of energy and fuels sadness and pain. We all know some aspect of grief and have an awareness that "grief is always in the room."
