About the event
Join us for a midday Poetry in the Park performance featuring Tina Marie and her poetry performance, Diasporic Daydream. Taking place from 12:00–1:00 PM, this lunchtime event offers a chance to pause and engage with poetry in the heart of downtown Jacksonville.
Set outdoors in James Weldon Johnson Park, Poetry in the Park welcomes office workers, downtown visitors, and poetry lovers alike. Bring your lunch, find a seat in the park, or stop by while passing through and enjoy poetry woven into the rhythm of your day.
Tina Marie is a creative Fairy from Queens, NY, who has been honing her performance poetry for 14 years, though she has been writing since she could hold a pen. Her work is informed by her passion for liberty, womanism, and pride in her Latin Caribbean culture.
