Current Events, featuring Anna K. Jacobson

Anna invites aspiring writers to a poetry workshop that draws inspiration from Auden's timeless insight that there is no news in poems, but every day men are dying for lack of what is found there. Using free verse and found poetry, this workshop aims to encourage writers to reflect on current events, seeking to find ways to process the turmoil and turbulence that surrounds us, as well as the emotions and thoughts that reside within us. By delving into the deeper layers of human experience, participants will discover how poetry can be a transformative tool for expressing and sharing what lies at the heart of our existence.
