Each April, Jax Poetry Fest transforms Jacksonville into a hub for poetry.
As the only month-long poetry festival in North Florida, we bring together poets, cultural institutions, art agencies, and enthusiasts from near and far. With performances, outdoor exhibits, and virtual workshops that connect audiences worldwide, this annual festival invites everyone to join in the celebration of National Poetry Month.

In honor of National Poetry Month, the Jax Poetry Meetup, sponsored by Hope at Hand, is hosting 13 additional poetry readings and open mics throughout April. From open mics to poetry readings, there are even more opportunities to experience live poetry across the city.

I have done many classes and workshops in my life and this series is without doubt the most enlightening and enjoyable. All the speakers were engaging and warm and responsive. I looked forward to each class and look forward to next year. I honestly can’t thank you all enough.
